m30 – London Wine Fair 2019. Tastings. Trends: for the future is expecting less quantities and more quality. Sparkling market: 2018/2017 +32.5% Cremant, +24% English Sparkling Wine. Prosecco growing rates will keep increasing only for high quality wines (DOCG), not for entry/basic wines which is reducing growing rate. Organic wine market will arrive at 9% of sales. Future challengings: reducing volumes trends, excise duty increasing, brexit, gen z (social media, image conscious, willingness to experiment, experience driven) . UK market remains important being ii in the world for import of still wines after Germany and ii in the world for import of sparkling wines after U.S.
